By using d20desk.com you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

What you make with the tools: free for commercial use

Everything you generate with the tools on this site (character sheets, PDFs, maps, dungeons, tokens, generated NPCs, shops, loot and encounters, printouts and downloads, “your output”) is yours to use for any purpose, including commercial use, royalty-free and worldwide. You may print it, share it, use it in class, and include it in products you sell, such as books on Amazon KDP, printables on Etsy, Teachers Pay Teachers, Gumroad or Shopify, and print-on-demand items. No attribution or credit is required.

Two limits: material by third parties that is listed on the credits page (for example text under CC BY-SA) keeps its own licence, including any credit it asks for; and you may not copy, resell, mirror or repackage the site itself, its code, its generators or its design as a competing tool or service, or use automated tools to copy the site in bulk or to overload it.

No warranty

We test the tools against independently calculated results, but mistakes can happen; check anything important before you rely on it. The site is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of the site. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Content and licences

The site’s design, text, code and our own random tables are © D20 Desk. Third-party material is listed with its licence on the credits page, and that licence applies to it.

  • Game rules, monsters, spells and magic items come from the System Reference Document 5.2.1 (“SRD 5.2.1”) by Wizards of the Coast LLC, licensed under CC-BY-4.0. If your output contains SRD text (for example a stat block or a spell description) and you publish it, CC-BY-4.0 asks you to include the SRD 5.2.1 attribution statement shown on the credits page.
  • Pictures you put into the token maker must be yours or used with permission; you are responsible for having the rights to them. They are processed in your browser and not uploaded.

D20 Desk is an independent site and is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Wizards of the Coast. Product names are used only to say which game system a tool works with.

The mobile app

These terms also apply to the D20 Desk: Initiative Tracker app (iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Android; Apple App Store and Google Play), which is owned and operated by SKYSEED TECH LLC. The app is free to download. “Pro” is an optional one-time in-app purchase (not a subscription, no automatic renewal) that unlocks the extras described on the app’s store page; it is billed and refunded by Apple or Google under their own terms, and you can restore it on any device signed in to the same store account. For the App Store, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies, in addition to these terms. Game content comes from the System Reference Document 5.2.1 (CC-BY-4.0) as described above; the app is not affiliated with Wizards of the Coast. The app is provided “as is” as described under “No warranty”.

Advertising and third-party services

The site may show advertising and may use visit statistics. These are described in the privacy policy. We are not responsible for the content of other websites we link to.

Changes and contact
